I'm a Product Designer on the Loop Design System team, where I co-create and maintain a user-centric, tokens-based, tri-brand design system supporting multiple platforms and serving a community of over 650 users. I draw upon my strengths in problem solving, methodical thinking, and a sharp eye for detail to ensure quality and consistency across the system.
I also develop processes for backlog prioritisation, helping drive a more efficient and value-driven workflow across teams.
As part of the design system team, I’ve been involved in introducing processes for prioritising our component backlog to create a more efficient and focused workflow. I achieved this by synthesising analytics from React (Storybook and GitHub), Flutter and Figma, research from our community of users, and feedback from multi-disciplinary experts in workshops I facilitated.
I collaborate with DesignOps on working across the business to create training programmes for designers and developers, along with promoting design best practices and ways of working.
Beyond that, I hold regular sessions with designers and apprentices to develop their interpersonal and technical skills. I enjoy taking a hands-on approach in supporting colleagues to discover their craft, encouraging self-reflection and critical thinking, and challenging them whilst always remaining approachable. Also creating tailored onboarding and Figma training for colleagues within different disciplines and varying skill levels, along with facilitating workshops for wide audiences.
...other things I love are skateboarding, cycling, golf and ice hockey ...and really hot food!

Design philosophy
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm
When tasked with a challenge I immerse myself so I can understand the core problem we’re trying to solve. Knowing this helps me make informed decisions and build enthusiasm for creating the best experience.
Clear experiences over unpredictability
As designers, our goal is not to eliminate complexity or friction, but rather create a clear, intuitive and understandable product experience. At times, this may mean adding thoughtful complexity.
We must constantly challenge our own assumptions
It’s easy to become over-confident in our ideas and opinions.
Rigorous iteration and testing can help bring clarity and confidence to the work. How I work
!
Step 1
Research
Understanding more about the problem space, considering potential solutions and learning about the consumer.
Step 2
Principles
Crafting design principles to help guide project and experience decisions, and ensure alignment amongst the team.
Step 3
User journey
Diving deep into the user journey, mapping it and exploring user stories, personas, channels and user decision making.
Step 4
Design exploration
Delving deep and exploring a range of possible solutions. Testing (test test test), iterating, discussing and working through the problem.
Step 5
Design refinement
Refining a chosen direction and polishing visual design, preparing designs for engineering handoff and documenting decisions made.
Step 6
Handoff and test
Working closely with engineering to ensure a successful handoff and implementation process.
Step 7
Monitoring
Just because a project is live doesn’t mean the work is done. I work with data and analytics teams and tools to monitor its performance to discover ideas for optimisation and improvement.
I create experiences that empower, inspire and delight people with imaginative and elegant solutions for web, apps and emerging technologies.
